Letter From the Founder

Dear Friends,

I am Dr. Mary-Zitta Muabe, the founder and CEO of the Mary-Zitta Foundation, and I would like to speak to you today about the least talked about yet eminent topic that has lingered unattended to for years, long before our time. Today I would like to shine light on the immense need to lend a helping hand to our brethren who are poor and desperate for our help. I would like us to address the anguish of the orphans and widows among us and around the world. Most of us have only very lightly acknowledged this problem on a superficial level, but never truly give it a much deeper thought as to how to address and mend the problem.

The Bible tells us that we are our brother’s keeper, and as such, helping our fellow human beings is not a grand gesture, but our God-giving responsibilities as servants of God, (Deuteronomy 15:7-11). So, I challenge you today to shoulder your responsibility to provide for the least of our brothers, just like Jesus our Lord exemplified during his time with us two thousand and twenty-one years ago. We must follow in his footsteps in truly loving our neighbours with our actions because whatsoever we do to the least of our brothers, we do to him who is God eternal. For years I have given heed to this vulnerable population to the best of my abilities, but very shortly after, I realized that all my efforts were simply a drop of water in the sea. But with absolute certainty of my moral duties, I am determined to continue this journey, and my question to you is, would you please join me in blessing the least among us?

Through my own experience, I’ve come to believe that when we extend generosity, it returns to us many times over. By sharing happiness and the goodness within us, we create a cycle of giving that continues to grow. As Proverbs 19:17 reminds us, “Kindness to the poor is a loan to the LORD, and He will repay the lender.”

I invite you to join me on this meaningful journey to enhance the lives of orphans and empower widows. Let us act with discretion and humility, contributing in whatever way we are able.
